NBA_BWB_AfricaChama cha soka cha mpira wa kikapu Marekani (NBA) na shirikisho la mpira wa kikapu duniani (FIBA) wametangaza majina 80 ya jumla ya vijana wa kiume na wa kike wenye umri wa miaka 17 au pungufu kutoka kwenye nchi 26 za Afrika ambao watashiriki kwenye toleo la 15 la mpira wa kikapu bila mipaka kwa Afrika ikiwa ni utangulizi kabla ya mchezo wa pili wa NBA katika bara la Afrika.

Mpango wa maendeleo wa BWB, NBA na FIBA wa mchezo wa mpira wa kikapu pamoja na kuifikia jamii utafanyika siku ya Jumatano tarehe 2 August mpaka siku ya Jumamosi tarehe 5 August katika shule ya American International School of Johannesburg huku kampuni ya Nike ikiwa mshirika mkuu. Mchezo wa NBA Africa  2017 utafanyika Aug. 5 katika uwanja wa Ticketpro Dome huko Johannesburg.

Mtanzania Jescar Julius Ngiaise ni mmoja kati ya wasichana 23 bora waliochaguliwa kuwepo kwenye program hii ya basketball without boarders (BWB) ambayo imewasaidia wachezaji wengi kufika kwenye NBA na WNBA.
